Epoxia is a joint project of Vate and Luar. It started at the beginning of the nineties. Luar conceived some songwriting ideas and Vate contributed in the technical and musical side. The first orientation of their music was rock and from 1997 to 1998 they recorded the primitive versions Soberbia Epiritual and El Hombe Nuevo, with Luar making the lyrics and playing the bass and making the basic layout of the songs and Vate programming and adding the general structure. Volk is a summary of the work I have done in the last four years. Since then, many movements within Mexican electronic music fused electronic music with popular music. I received a great influence from them and the feedback with other musicians was very strong. “This release from Vate is really top notch stuff. I dont know if its just cause i have been out of contact for a while, but this really just hit the right note with me. The first track (“Turismo”) is just really trippy and really reminds me of the “trancy” stuff from the early 90’s with a 2007 overhaul. The second track (“Orient Stress“), which is also featured on the previous release from Vate, has a pulsating tribal rhythm with growling basslines set to a slamming breakbeat....
